What is DuraCoat ?

Duracoat is a two part coating that was specifically created for application to firearms. It is a tough coating and can withstand the rigors of hunting and normal use for many years. It comes in a large variety of colors and can be used to create custom camoflauge and theme based coatings that will not only protect but add a bit of the owners personality. DuraCoat is typically applied through an air cure process that does not require heat to cure the product. It will cure fully over about a three week period, but you can handle and use the product with care within a few days.

What is Cerakote ?

Cerakote is a ceramic based coating that is extremely durable. This coating is generally used by those who will be placing hard demands on their rifles and handguns and need the ultimate in protection. The most common application is as a solid color on a barreled action. Cerakote is typically applied through an oven cured process although there are also ambient cured versions of the product available. There are not as many color variations of the product, but there are more than adequate colors available to put unique patterns and camo designs onto the items. The cost to apply Cerakote is a bit higher than DuraCoat due to both increased materials cost and increased demand upon the application process.

What is MicroSlick ?

Microslick is a Cerakote product that is a dry film lubricant. It is applied normally to rifle bolts and internals of the action. Dry film lubricants coatings are designed to create a permanent lubricated surface to impede galling and the seizing of components. Like or dissimilar materials can benefit from the application of these materials. The suggested application processes allow the coating to become an intrinsic part of the component rather than a coating on the surface.
Micro Slick's formulation prevents surface-to-surface contact, thus reducing friction and wear between mating surfaces. The exceptional low resistant to shear enables the Micro Slick coated surface to operate with extremely low friction. Micro Slick is available in both air cure and oven cure systems.

Due to variances in displays and photograph editing and the custom aspect of my work I can not guarantee that I can exactly match the colors that you see on a particular item nor can I guarantee any patterns to match another.  I will do my best to get as close as I possibly can to a request, but due to the very nature of this I simply can't guarantee perfection.  I do strive to create an exceptional coating work with an eye to the colors that will work the best in a particular environment.  I create camouflage patterns that work when camo is requested and some artistic freedom is required.  I also can not warranty against scratches or damages incurred through the use of the item.  While these coatings are very durable, there is no coating that is scratch or damage proof.
